"I look at all types of photographs of people and through painting try to discover a new way of seeing the image in the photograph.  A new live metaphor. I also like to juxtapose bright colors against each other in creating these images. With each painting I feel as if I am painting for the first time, in order to discover something about myself and the image at hand."
